Natya Kalaakaar is a national folk dance competition held by Nruthya Shakti's elite students graduating that year. The show was created in 2009 to promote leadership and management skills for elite students and allow them to drive the event. The vision of Natya Kalaakaar is to use dance as a service with outreach toward charitable institutions and local communities. The proceeds raised in this competition help support the charity organization chosen by the elite students.
The event is open to anyone in the USA wanting to participate in folk, classical, and folk-fusion dance styles of India.
